God has really been speaking to me through my quiet time. Today's devotional said the following:
If you've ever prayed at length for something and finally received the answer, you know sometimes the answer itself pales in comparison to the miracles God did while you were waiting. You look back and see that God's hand was on you all the time, and He was masterfully orchestrating all things to work together for your good (Romans 8:28). It is while we wait upon the Lord to answer the cry of our heart that He strengthens us (Isaiah 40:31), shows us mercy and compassion (James 5:11), disciplines us (Hebrews 12:7) and refines our faith (1 Peter 1:7). God does some of His best work while we are waiting-eternal work on the inner woman. If you are waiting for God to answer a prayer, ask Him to show you how He is already at work, and praise His faithfulness. Resist the temptation to step in and take matters into your own hands. Instead, patiently allow Him to continue to His work.
I'm not sure how long this wait will be for us but I can already see some of the refining that God is doing not only in my life but Chad's life too! I pray that I can continue to trust Him while I wait.

So how open are you??
Our social worker called and talked to Chad today. He told him that they are getting ready to show profiles to an expectant mother and asked if we would be willing to do a yearly visit. This is all God and I can see his hand at work in both of us. Initially when we started this process we just didn't know how open we wanted to be. I thought that we would have a pre-birth meeting and agree to do letters and photos for the first year. God had other plans for us. When we started our profile book we just felt that we needed to do more than a year. So we put that we would send letters and photos up to age 13. God is continuing to work in our hearts with this news today. We will go home and discuss this and pray that we do as God leads us.
