Can't Wait

It may sound crazy but I can't wait to grocery shop this week. I've been searching the internet for healthy grocery lists and healty recipes all week. I've begun making my list and know that it's gonna take some time to really shop wisely. I want to read labels and ingredients on everything to make sure I'm making the healthiest choices I can.

I'd like to go to the Farmer's market too! I'll try to fit that in this weekend!

I walked this morning by myself and enjoyed the quietness of the morning! I could totally feel God walking with me and shared a few moments with him while I walked!

Couldn't ask for a better start to a day than that!

Weigh In...

I weighed today. The scale that I used is like the ones in the doctor's office. So I had to set it on the big number and then slide it to where it balances itself. When I did this the first time it was telling me that I had gained weight. Talk about being discouraged! But once I looked at the bottom weight I realized I hadn't placed it exactly in the groove! Needless to say I was very happy about that!

Now to the news...I'm down 2 pounds! I think it's a very good start and I really hope that I can continue to keep this up every week.

I have to say that the weekends are the hardest, especially when you have a family reunion and a family birthday. I did really good at both but yesterday didn't do so well. It's those darn donuts Chad wanted on Saturday morning. They were just calling my name. I did ask him to throw them out if he was done with him and that did take the temptation away but not before I had one.

But today is a new day!

It's hard

It's hard to eat healthy when your kitchen isn't stocked with healthy items. I struggled with breakfast this morning because I just didn't want to eat cereal again. I did manage to find something to eat but wasn't as full as I was yesterday.I need some healty breakfast ideas. What do you eat? Leave me a comment and give me some new ideas!

I have started making a grocery list and will be able to buy healthier options when payday comes!

I wanted to add another lap to my walking last night but my toenail was cutting into my toe. I just wanted to finish my regular route and get home, it was hurting that bad. I'm sticking to it and hope to walk every day at least once. There may be some days when I'll do it twice. It feels good to be walking again!

I'm gonna do it...

I've made up my mind and I've decided that now is the time to take control of my weight. I decided that today was going to be the first day that I really look at what I'm eating and control what goes into my mouth each day. I've not been happy with the way that I look for a long time and I've come to realize that I'm the only one who can do anything about it.

Chad and I started walking before we left for Disney so that we'd be acclimated to the miles of walking that you do there. And we walked again last night. I had hoped to get up and walk again this morning but it took me too long to go to sleep last night so I didn't. We are going to walk again tonight and hopefully it'll be come routine for us to do every night.

I started the day off with a good breakfast. I measured my cereal and milk out along with my fruit. I added a piece of whole wheat toast and a piece of cheese. What a difference a good breakfast makes. I haven't felt hungry and just enjoyed my mid-morning snack of pears and another piece of cheese.

I've got to be conscience of what I'm putting in my mouth and controlling the size of my portions to see a difference. I know that healthy weight loss will be slow in coming off but I'm determined to do it. I hope to see a loss of 1-2 pounds a week and in about 7 months should reach my goal of 60 pounds!

I know that I can do this and I'm excited to see what can happen!

Welcome to ICLW

If you're not sure what that means, please click on the red button on the sidebar and you'll find a wealth of information regarding ICLW.

A little something about me: I've been married for 14 years and struggled with infertility for 12 of those years. We waited a little over 2 years with domestic adoption and just did a FET at the end of February that wasn't successful. We're not sure what our next step will be but we are enjoying the time we have together!

I look forward to visiting other bloggers this week and hopefully will have a few more followers too!

A Dilemma?

My cousin and his wife have graciously offered their remaining embryos to us. I'm so very thankful that they thought of us but I just can't wrap my mind around using them. I've always thought that our child would be biological and when that didn't happen, he/she would come to us through adoption (domestic or embryo). I didn't have any second thoughts when we did our FET because we didn't have any pictures of the genetic parents. My cousin's little boy is the spitting image of him and I just don't know how I'd feel if our child looked the same. How do you explain that when you go to family reunions and spend holidays with the extended family?

I just don't have a peace about accepting these embryos and feel that we will pass on accepting them. As bad as I'd like to use them I just don't know that I can. I'll continue to ask God to lead us in the direction He wants for us!

Ready to go!

I finally finished with my packing last night. I had to switch to the larger suitcase so that all our things would fit in one case. I have a feeling we're going to be very limited on space in the rental so I'm really praying everything will fit. Our special friends have graciously offered some of their trunk space but I hope we don't have to use it. I've limited all my nieces to one suitcase but I'm not sure they're going to comply with that! Oh well they'll have to sit with their suitcase in their lap!

I can't believe it's time for this trip! There's been a lot of planning and researching for this trip and the expectations are really high! I can't wait to see the expression on each of their faces when we arrive! I know it'll be priceless!

I would like to ask for prayer for us as we travel! Having 5 nieces in the car with us makes the cargo so precious and it's my prayer that we have a safe trip!

I hope to share some of our experiences while we're gone but I'm not sure we're gonna have time! We plan to be very busy spending time with Mickey and his friends!

Hakuna Matata!

It's almost here!

We are so close to our Disney trip! I've got the goodie bags ready and I've ironed the majority of my clothes! I hope to have every thing done by Thursday so I can clean my house Friday night. We'll leave early Saturday morning!

I hope to blog some of our adventures but I'm not sure how the wireless works!

I'm so excited!
